Seasonal Energy & Reiki Late Summer Focus

Late summer carries a quiet strength- a time when nature’s growth slows, the days stretch with golden light, and we are invited to gather the fruits of the season. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this is the Earth elements time- a season of grounding, digestion, and nourishment. Reiki aligns beautifully with this rhythm, helping us integrate what we’ve learned, release what we no longer need, and prepare for the season ahead.

  • Grounding: Reiki helps bring the mind and body into presence, supporting the Earth element’s need for stability.
  • Digestion (physical & emotional): Reiki can soothe the nervous system, encouraging better digestion, and helping us “process” life experiences with more ease.
  • Nourishment: By replenishing our energy reserves, Reiki nurtures vitality at a deeper level- much like the late summer sun nourishing the final harvest.

Practice The Golden Light Grounding Ritual (5-7 min)

  • Step 1: Place your hands gently on your solar plexus (upper abdomen)
  • Step 2: Visualize a warm, golden light pooling in you belly.
  • Step 3: Imagine this light spreading to your entire body, grounding you like roots deep into the Earth.
  • Step 4: Repeat silently: “I am steady, nourished, and at peace.”
  • Step 5: Take a few slow breaths before opening your eyes. (4 in, 6 hold, 7 out count, 3xs)

Journal Prompt

  • Morning: What do I need to nourish in myself today- physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually?
  • Evening: How did I feel more grounded today? Where did the grounding practice or Reiki help me digest or integrate my experiences?
