The natural healing force within each of us is the greatest force in getting well – Hippocrates

Reiki is a spiritual healing practice. The purpose is to restore wholeness, balance, vital energy and homeostasis to the body, mind and spirit. Reiki is translated and referred to as “Universal Energy”. REI, pronounced “ray”, means universal, the energy from all that is KI, pronounced “key”, means energy from within, life-force, chi or prana energy. Reiki energy is described as an invincible, life-giving energy that is inexhaustible and cannot be depleted. This unifying energy is pervasive in all of life and limitless.

In our fast pace culture, self-care is often an afterthought, and indulgence, or looked like an obligation where most, when extremely depleted, don’t notice a difference afterward. It is something we are to do regularly and often for renewed energy, reduced stress, fresh perspective toward life and feeling positive, increase confidence and self-esteem, passion for life and motivation to succeed.

The best aspect of Reiki, it is only ever positive and helpful to animals, environment, people of all ages, health conditions and cultures. Reiki is the life-force energy that we are made of and seeks to heal the highest healing priority needed while treating the recipient.

There are several ways Reiki can be received through treatment or training. The form of treatment is simple while comprehensive either hands-on in person or remote distant. The class form for teaching this system is simple, direct, concise and comprehensive for ease of learning and the integration of the practice into daily life. The basis of the practice is self-treatment and treatments for others including animals.

Benefits of Reiki

Energy cannot be created or destroyed; it can only be changed from one form to another- Albert Einstein

Reiki Natural Healing benefits are many and unfold in its own necessary Divine healing order. Reiki can potentially benefit anyone. You need not believe in anything to benefit from Reiki. You only must be open to experience Reiki.

The energetic healing properties of Reiki restores vital energy to the body that allows a release of accumulated energy debris that is adversely affecting the spiritual, physical, psychological and emotional conditions. The body regulates how much and where Reiki is needed for a lasting healing to take place. By gently clearing blocked energy and bringing each system into balance in its own individual unique way to further one’s healing potential.

Since this unifying energy is pervasive in all of life and limitless, there is no situation when Reiki is not safe. It is important to know that Reiki combines and compliments with holistic and traditional intervention medicine such as medications, surgery, chemotherapy, psychotherapy, rehabilitation, chronic illness and infectious diseases, homeopathic therapy, chiropractic or acupuncture. Reiki is called a “bio-energetic modality” or “therapeutic modality” service.

The list of benefits is long and very personal, because people are imbalanced and challenged in different ways and we notice and value different changes. Reiki always works, yet sometimes unseen, it is advised for students and clients to journal after a Reiki treatment or training to observe as one’s energy begins to transform to a healthier state of well-being.

Reiki therapists do not diagnose conditions, nor interfere with the treatment of a medical doctor. Reiki activates only the healing need of the recipient and can never have too much Reiki. Therefor due to the unique individual healing process there is no promise or guaranteed healing time or desired results. And that’s the beauty and ease of Reiki: We don’t have to know.

History of Reiki

The story of the origin and development of this practice through time as held, carried, and cared for by the spiritual lineage of Mikao Usui, Chujiro Hayashi, Hawayo Takata, Phyllis Lei Furumoto, and Johannes Reindl. In trainings the story is told in oral tradition that traces the development of the practice through lifetime of each lineage bearer. Spiritual Precepts of Reiki

While treatments and initiations flow into the body, the spiritual precepts flow into the mind. The precepts are not so much as rules to live by, but a way to stimulate a questioning on serving of how to live freely. Living and using daily reminds us of how to have inner peace, joy and honor with oneself and others. The process of non-attachment is an active force naturally moving us through our own unique evolutionary process in personal growth and spiritual development.

Just for today, do not worry.
Just for today, do not anger.
Honor your parents, teachers, and elders.
Earn your living honestly.
Show gratitude to every living thing.

There are many ways to interpret the fundamental truth. We simply use them to serve as one’s moral compass to correct behaviors and attitudes in the present that allows us to adjust an old system of belief and behavior for a better chain of reasoning to form maturation. These are reminders on how to stay in alignment with our own best qualities that would include…

  • Creating right relations within yourself and others.
  • Making things right with your Self first.
  • Willingness to accept who you are in the present moment.
  • Willingness to act with complete honesty, integrity and respect for all.
  • Willingness to release and heal individual, family and community wounds, even those you’ve carried in your DNA for generations.
  • Embrace that which is authentic within.
  • Recognition that you are not a separate individual, that you are one embodiment of life in harmony with all life.

The combination of treatments, trainings and precepts redefines and actualizes freedom, purpose, self-reliance, and personal power from within.

4 Aspects

These aspects describe the path of a student and the development of the system itself. This path and this development are not made by human decision but by the natural process of maturation. The human decision is to commit to this practice and follow one’s own path.

9 Elements

Each of the nine elements contains information, the way to hold this information, and the use of the information which transforms information into sacred tools.

The Elements are equal in importance and have a relationship with each other. This dynamic relationship propels the student into learning experiences, guides the student into his/her next step of development, and keeps the student free to experience Reiki in all levels of consciousness.
